The first thing and most important thing is timing. If you are going on a Safari to relax and take in the scenery the best time would be during SA summer, between December and February. If you are going on a Safari to view animals the best time would be in SA winters, between June and September, as during this time the trees are almost leafless which adds to less hiding space for the animals. Also during this time there is a shortage on food so the animals are more active in their search for food. Predators are also more active as the temperature is not so exhausting hot as in the summer for the animals.
